How to plan around cruise ship days
The bay fills between 9am and 2pm when ships are in port. Here is how to have the beach to yourself either side of it.
Magens Bay is busiest between nine in the morning and two in the afternoon on days when ships are in port at Havensight and Crown Bay. Before and after that window, the beach is a different place entirely.
If your schedule is flexible, an early start or a late afternoon gives you the same water and a fraction of the crowd. If it is not, reserving your chairs ahead of time means you are not competing for a spot when everyone arrives at once.
